Property Description
The Oak Hill Farm project includes 64 acres owned by the US Forest Service. The property is located in eastern Charleston County and represents a significant in-holding within the proclamation boundary of the Francis Marion National Forest. Oak Hill Farm contains 4,200 feet of frontage along Palmers Bridge and Turner Sullivan Roads as well as over one-half mile along Mechaw Creek. The Oak Hill Farm lands share a common boundary for approximately 2 miles with the Francis Marion Forest and is hydrologically linked to important wetlands within the forest and Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge.

Charleston County Council awarded $300,000 in Greenbelt Program funding to purchase 64 acres of the property for public use. They also awarded $327,250 acres for a conservation easement on 324 acres of the property.
