Atlantic Creosote Tract, Francis Marion National Forest


Project Description

The Atlantic Creosote project includes 1,445 acres owned by the US Forest Service. This tract of land is located in eastern Charleston County within the Francis Marion National Forest’s proclamation boundary between Old Georgetown Road and the St. James Santee Parish’s historic Brick Church.

The property provides a wildlife habitat for five federally endangered or threatened species and 23 state-endangered or threatened species, such as the Red-cockaded Woodpecker.
