Remount Road Greenspace
Project Description
The City of North Charleston’s Remount Road Project consists of 5.875 acres located off Sumner Avenue and Remount Road. The project includes two separate parcels; a 4.64 acre parcel located off Sumner Avenue, and a 1.235 acre parcel accessible from Remount Road. Combined, the parcels contain 3.505 acres of highland and 2.37 acres of wetlands.
The public park provides recreational activities for citizens and workers of nearby office complexes.
The Remount Road Project is in close proximity to other urban greenbelt parcels purchased by the City of North Charleston along Filbin Creek. This property will be used to further increase access to the properties that the City has acquired for use as greenspace
