Project Description
Edisto Island Open Land Trust purchased 9.23 acres located at 7680 Point of Pines Road on Edisto Island to provide a passive recreation area adjacent to the historic Henry Hutchinson freedman house already owned by the land trust. The park also serves as a buffer for the house, to better facilitate restoration, protect and locate artifacts, and expands the space to create demonstration gardens, public greenspace, and wildlife habitat surrounding the historic site.
