Coach Stanley Chisolm Park

Park Description

The City of Charleston purchased 23.7 acres in the neck area of peninsular Charleston located west of Austin Avenue. The wetland areas on this property are tidal marshes of the Ashley River and a tidal creek.

The City of Charleston purchased these properties to provide passive and active recreational opportunities.  The park is open to the public, but access is currently limited to scheduled athletics.

Charleston County Council awarded $3,893,000 in Greenbelt Program funding to purchase this property for public use.
