Project Description

The City of Isle of Palms was awarded Greenbelt funds to purchase 1.07 acres on Palm Boulevard next to the Island Center shopping center for a public passive park.

Park Amenities

• Next to shopping center and within cycling distance of the most heavily utilized beach area - allowing public the convenience of purchasing food and enjoying a picnic on the property before or after going to the beach
• Contains 25 historic Live Oak trees
• Open and accessible to the public via a sidewalk down Palm Boulevard
• Wildlife/nature observation and enjoyment
• Provides neighboring residents an undeveloped buffer between their homes and the busiest commercial development on the island
