Battery Island Landing


Park Description

Charleston County Council awarded the Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission $300,000 in Greenbelt Program funding to purchase this property for public use. Battery Island Landing consists of .95 acres located at the end of Sol Legare Road on James Island. The property was leased for a boat landing for years, but was in jeopardy of being lost. With greenbelt funds, the CCPRC was able to purchase the land, ensuring its permanent availability to the public.
